f.r.i.e.n.d.s

so i had to leave early again. i wish i could just walk to my host home. i am def. looking forward to our group time tomorrow in scotland.

i am uber excited that i made two new friends, william and michael. they are like brothers now. michael's one of those mean ones that calls you fat. he's done it to me thrice times now.

i am glad that i have grown closer with the people on my team. there are a couple that i didn't know very well, but i... i dont know. i am tired and listening to grease music (from the musical). gimme a break.

i heard u2 on the radio to my host home. all this week i heard: can't touch this, the love shack, and time after time. it was insane.

i want to come home because i miss some of my friends, but i want to stay because i feel like this church here in england is my family now. kinda crazy. i wish i could stay. i am thinking about studying abroad here in england during college.

i'm ron burgandy?

i just kinda copied and pasted from a couple of emails i wrote because i am lazy and tired. it's midnight here. it is six hours ahead. meh.

ashley got herself locked in a small space for 20 minutes. she was banging on the church doors and an was walking across the street and i just thought she wanted to wave, so i waved. she tried to get me to come over to where she was, but i was busy, so i didn't. about five minutes later, i came back out and she was still there. she wanted me to open the door. i told her to go around because there are doors to hallways that lead to the actual church part. she told me to open the outside doors because they were locked. i told her i couldn't do anything about it (because if she was inside and she couldn't open the doors, and i was outside i couldn't fix that) and that she would just have to go around. she told me she couldn't because those doors were locked also and she'd been in there for twenty minutes. i just laughed at her, then went to help her out. it was hilarious. it was kinda like she was on display in a zoo. it was just pure greatness. went to durham and ate mcdonalds: that's all there is to that story. i did however buy 2 hats (one is simply amazing) and a scarf. i am so excited. went to a cathedral in durham. we saw the courtyard where a part of harry potter was filmed. mitch fit in real well, esp. with his hogwarts scarf (which i stole for the rest of the day).

i like hearing the differences in our languages. examples:

trainers=tennis shoes
fringes=bangs
posh=?
pants=underwear (some of us found this out the hard way)
trousers=pants
rubbish=trash

i like hearing people speak cockney (sp?). it's just really cool. trouble and strife means wife, apples and pears means stairs.

awesomely hilarious

so today was another assembly, and then i went to the all girl school and had a Bible study, ate lunch, and had another class with girls who we didn't know were believers. the girls who we ate lunch with us recorded our voices because they thought we had accents. wierd. they wanted us to say hilarious and awesome.

i am still in england in case you haven't caught on to that one...

that's all i got...

team america

world priests

i am in engand right now. what.

make a story short:
delayed in nashville. made a mad dash/sprint to the plane to amsterdam in minneapolis. uy in front of me leaning back, guy behind me kneeing my seat, and the overhead light wouldn't turn off. then, we arrived in amsterdam and were made fun of for being americans. arrived in england. the end.

tonight was challenging.

bottle rocket crash course was good. i enojoyed it.

the meeting however, was hard. i really want mitch to get his passport. it wouldn't be the same without him. i had to tell everyone my baggage, so they could pray for me. that was hard. i hate crying in front of people, especially people i don't know. so i told them, and i cried. i didn't know i would otherwise i would have warned them and just not said anything. i think it's because i don't ever like to talk about my family financial problems. i like to joke about them because i don't want to burden my friends. i don't want to be seen as some one who is depressed all the time because that is not me. i like to be upbeat, but that's not always me either. i put up a front a lot of the time. i don't like to talk about them because i know i will cry. it happens all of the time. that's the only thing i ever cry about. and i HATE crying. a lot. but i am thankful for my friends who really care about me and will let me just talk to them about it.

we leave tuesday. i am too excited.

i have a new obsession with the temptations. i love them so much. i wish i had a cd with a crapload of their songs.

story time

meaghan woke up and put her rotc uniform and kim drove her to school 100_1729. we were on a pep rally schedule, and i was so excited i ate my hat 100_1794. i got to sixth period and ate first lunch because i felt like it. then, sarah and i wandered around the hallways 100_1739. we stumbled upon the best homecomming hallway ever. the juniors 5o's homecomming hallway. sarah decided to stop and eat with elvis 100_1741. he served her some grossness 100_1780. it turned out to be disgusted beaver. she made some threats and then moved on 100_1747100_1796edit. then she felt bad and apoligized and headed out to the homecomming parade 100_1825edit. she hung out with ber boyfrien curtis and then met meaghan at the pep rally after meaghan had already changed out of her uniform into comfy pajamas.100_1823. she offered meaghan a ride home and meaghan said, "sure." then, sarah got so excited her head blew up 100_1769.

remnants of doubtful compliments

you remember about how i asked you to pray for my family? well, thank you, it's worked. my father now has a new job and won't rely on his commision of selling insurance. thank God because he pretty much sucked at it. keep praying because that's not the only reason we needed it, but it was half.

mrs. chessor complimented my photos that i took, not just the crappy "i'm your teacher, i have to compliment you" compliment, but an honest one. that made me feel awesome.

i got my passport taken care of this morning and arrived at school late. i missed 4 out of 5 classes. it felt amazing, but it was kinda wierd because when you come back people have been going on with their lives. don't get me wrong, i know the world doesn't revolve around me, but it's still a wierd feeling.

england?

yes please.

today has been the most STRESSFUL day in my life. i am not exagerating. at all. but it has worked out, so i just want to stop and thank God...and amy-jo because without them, england would not be possible. i also want to thank kara, ashley, and mitch because they are amazing kids who supported me and made me feel better.
